Meditation In Your Daily Routine
Hey Mamas! The whole idea behind Happy Healthy Mamas is that you become happy and healthy and stay that way. This requires a little “me time” on your part. One thing I highly recommend is daily meditation. Meditation is a technique used to quiet your mind, relax your body and release stress. It has been practiced around the world for thousands of years. Meditation in your daily routine can bring you much joy.
Meditation can also bring much focus and clarity.
Often, after meditating, your problems do not seem so terrible after all. It has also been known to inspire writers as well as spur lucrative business ideas.
The most simple form of meditation is to sit in a quiet room on a pillow, or simply cross-legged on the floor. You could also sit in a chair, making sure your spine is straight. I would like to encourage you to visit the same place each day for meditation. You could even “fix up” your special place with pictures of your loved ones, candles and flowers.
Make it all about you!
Then, simply sit very quietly with closed eyes. Focus on nothing but the inside of your eyes. Try not to think of any particular things, but allow your mind to think of what it wants to. Just be calm and peaceful. If you have a hard time quieting your mind, just allow it to finish up what its thinking. Soon it will quiet down and allow you to relax. Try to remain in relaxation for about 10-20 minutes each day to start out. Before long, you will notice that you start to experience deeper relaxation during your “me time” and you will be filled with joy.
Meditation can help you to cope with stress, and discharge the tension that accumulates during stressful situations.
You may want to increase the length of your sessions to thirty minutes, or maybe even an hour later on. In our highly active lifestyles of today, it is so important that we include a brief time for meditation in our daily schedule.
